Prior to its use for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the venue received much criticism. It suffered a fire in October 2013, due to polystyrene insulation panels catching alight. Although nobody was injured, the fire came within 24 hours of the state governor of Mato Grosso warning that it may not be finished for the World Cup. On the day of its opening, on April 24, 2014, 5,000 seats were still to be installed in the stadium. Next to the football stadium is the Tocantins Gymnasium - Ginásio Aecim Tocantins.

Important game and ran out of energy for 3 hours. Very big, but I felt it was a little abandoned... Toilets in destruction... Felt sorry for so much money applied there and being destroyed without maintenance.
Very surprised brilliant place to go with family friends or anybody that enjoys a good time we felt safe and enjoyed walking around the arena great views lots to do for kids. hiring hoverboards Etc skateboarding biking. several food stalls and drinks stalls also having the Food Park Nere, it's a nice place to visit with plenty to do, I would recommend going on an evening as the atmosphere seemed to be better than it would in the daytime.
