  • Amed is an odd place. There is an overwhelming sense of unemployment about the place. There is plainly very little money here. My partner and I were tricked into buying an expensive dinner by a friendly woman in the restaurant under the guise of watching her prepare a chicken Bali - style. And not a nice meal. of steamed chicken. Amed had a handsome, black beach. Offshore we enjoyed a snorkel in the top 2 snorkels I've ever had; above a sunken Japanese WW2 submarine. Exceptional. We used a local boy and his family with a good lunch in their hut cooked by mother. In the back of Amed are pristine rice paddies. It's a very pleasant place overall with not much to do and off the track enough to remain very untouched.
  • The best place in Bali to snorkeling or diving. Fishes didn't go away when you swim around, and they also attracted to bread feeding. Very recomended,
