    We love Carcassonne in France so we knew we would love Obidos. A walled city with a castle, steeped in history. The shopkeepers and staff in the restaurants were lovely to us too.  more »

    The strange name "Obidos" is a Latinized (oppidum) of the Celtic word Eburobrittium (town, citadel). So the expression "I will go to the town of Obidus" is almost tautological. Like any...  more »
