Bridge of Lies represents the oldest forged-iron bridge in Romania, decorated with rosettes plus floral and geometric motifs. It bears the city's coat of arms on its southern side. Friedrich-Hütte built the bridge in 1859, probably for the circulation of carts. The peculiar name of the bridge--which is the result of the mispronunciation of a German word "Liegenbrücke," meaning "the bridge down"--has inspired several local legends. One story goes that the bridge repeats all the lies uttered by the people crossing it, thus bringing the liars down to earth. Without discounting its rich history, it is just a simple bridge for me, The bonus is however to witness some wedding photo sessions and a nearby cafe serenade by soothing piano music.

Nice. Romantic. So many flowers. Very well maintained and promoted. I just found on my last visit (been there many times) you shouldn't lie while on the bridge (or the bridge will fall 😲)

Amazing bridge. it was magical, the view of the bridge and the church's bells ringing in the morning. you can also see a wonderful view of an old street under the bridge. i visited it at night and in the next morning. i prefer seeing it when it's bright outside.
