  • It was great experience. I will suggest go early morning to avoid sun heat. As it will take almost 2 hours to reach Cave of Hira. May Allah Bless you.
  • The hiking trail is about 1.40 km. It will take you 70- 150 minutes to go up and down, depends on your health condition and fitness level. The trail with steps built all the way to the top. The steps are uneven and can be slippery. Wear comfortable clothes and sport shoes. There are stands that sell water and lemonade on the trail, so bring cash. I visited Jabal Alnour on August, and it was extremely hot and highly trafficked. The summit shows views of the Al masjid al Haram and of Mecca city. This is a holy place where the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) went to meditate and is also where the Holy Quran was first revealed to him. It is very sad seeing litter everywhere on the mountain. It is NOT OKAY to throw rubbish anywhere, so PLEASE bring a bag with you to use for your trash and keep it with you until you find a trashcan to throw it.
