Merlion Park, Singapore

Witness one world's most bizarre statues at Merlion Park, famed for its figure of a half lion, half fish shooting water from its mouth in a proud arc. Built in 1964, the 9 m (30 ft) statue now represents one of Singapore's symbols. A smaller statue--the fish-lion's baby--can also be found nearby. The baby statue offers a similar photo opportunity with a fraction of the crowds. After you've taken some photos, turn your gaze around to appreciate sweeping views of the waterfront. • Went to merlion across the Jubilee Bridge. As of May 11, 2019, the Merlion has just finished cleaning, and it has come to be seen from yesterday. Unfortunately, I did not have the water discharge, but it is the character of the Merlion only to have seen the appearance of! Merlion Park was crowded with a lot of tourists. It was almost a Chinese and Korea person. Westerners were none at all.

  • If it's your first time coming to Singapore, you definitely want to visit this park to pose with the Merlion. Make sure to come in the afternoon so it's not super HOT. Plus there's a free light show to enjoy at 08.00 PM. There are also so many other places/attractions near here like the Marina Bay Sands, Esplanade, Art Science Museum~
  • It was an amazing view. One can gaze all of the attraction standing there. Good spot for photography. Also, esplanade theatre is also nearby with its open theatre running free shows for public almost daily.
