  • 27 August 2022. We booked for the 1pm slot . The afternoon slots seems to be very popular times as the 2pm slot was fully booked a week in advance. Viljoensdrift is a beautiful place. Peaceful and yet vibrant and I am sure gets hectically busy in summer. The deli is well stocked and for those who like a glass of wine, their range of wines looked impressive. They have wine tasting as well and that seemed quite popular especially if waiting for your time to go on the river. Their meals are well prepared and tasty. The river cruise is fantastic especially if you want to celebrate with a picnic (baskets of which you can fill up at the deli prior to your cruise). All in all a good experience and well worth the drive from Cape Town.
  • Make the trip out and make sure to book the river cruise We shopped in the wonderful deli before setting sail so we were able to enjoy a picnic during our cruise, along with wonderful wine from the estate Our skipper was amazing and made sure we were comfortable and safe at all times
