Teide National Park, Tenerife

#2 of 40 in Nature in Tenerife
A national park that blossomed from the base of a volcano that is also the tallest mountain in Spain, Teide National Park is the most visited national park in the country. Almost three million visitors have been awed by the 3,718 m (12,198 ft) mountain peak. The remarkable terrain in the park is frequently studied by scientists because of its similarity to the planet Mars. Indeed, you'll notice red soil and strange plant life creating a Martian atmosphere along your walking trails. Visit the park's website to plan a hike and check the weather for your outdoor adventure. To plan Tenerife vacation without wasting time, ask Inspirock to design an itinerary.

  • An amazing, majestic, refreshing place. See your peak is amazing, definitely be at the top will be much better... its around it is also incredible.

  • We wanted to enjoy the fantastic views as a couple and went on his own with the car. Apart from the fact that the ticket for the elevator €27 pP costs we have to wait another two hours here. The prices in the shop are also covered. for example, a ball ice costs €2.80.

  • We went at night. The night sky was amazing. You won't see too many of the other views at night like the mountain landscape. I'd recommend people to go at dusk. That way you will see the beautiful views on the way up. And on the way down you will see the night sky. It will easily take you 3.5 to 4 hours if you rush, but you could spend so many more hours here, plus the drive is amazing.
  • Truly breathtaking. If you are visiting tenderise then this is a must see attraction. You must take the cable car ride right to the top of the mountain. The views are truly spectacular in both directions. The queue for the cable cars can be quite long and is quite expensive but will worth it. Also even though the weather on the ground may be nice and hot, once you get up to the top of the mountain the temperature will drop Dramatically. So be prepared with a light jacket, a drink, sunglasses and don't forget your cameras and video recorder. You won't be disappointed. Have fun and enjoy!
