Take a long hike up to Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park for impressive vistas and a slice of colonial history. Made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999, the fortress has been restored to high standards, despite lying in ruin for over 100 years. Once at the top, you’ll observe beautiful panoramas of mountains, oceans, and sprawling countryside, so don't forget your camera. Admire the original cannons that defended this outpost, and absorb the information displayed on the many plaques. You can grab snacks and refreshments from nearby stalls, and browse through plenty of souvenirs from the gift shop. • Great excursion. Part of UNESCO so it is well maintained. $15/person and cash only! Must see when on St. Kitts. Beautiful views, interesting facts from history and calm atmosphere. Drive up is interesting :) (down too).
  • A very interesting piece of island history and THE GIFT SHOP is amazing! Don't bother with Port Zante and the tourist trap shops. This shop has locally made art and treasures you won't find anywhere else!
