Nice cluster of temples. Many different types with various aesthetics. We came just as it opened to see the large “resting” Buddha. It was very quickly full of tourists about 30 minutes later. It’s an easy walk from the river ferry terminal. You need to bring exact THB amount for the entry tickets because for some weird reason they won’t give you change. There are many cute cats here too! You also get a small bottle of water for free with your ticket.
This is a beautifully maintained temple ground; with the main attraction being a large reclining Budha. It's about a ten minute walk from the Grand Palace; and is much less busy. You will have to remove your shoes upon entry, but you can carry them in a bag if you'd like versus leaving them outside. You are also allowed to bring your camera inside. Make sure you check out the feet which are beautifully covered in pearls; and the hair from the backside. People rush through the back of the statue; but it really has some interesting details!
