Fort William is the second largest settlement in the Highlands of Scotland with around 10,000 inhabitants – and the largest town: only the city of Inverness is larger.Fort William is a major tourist centre, with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the east and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles. Start off your visit on the 18th (Sat): see the interesting displays at West Highland Museum, thentrek along Glencoe Lochan, thenget engrossed in the history at Glencoe Folk Museum, and finally appreciate the views at Glen Coe. On the next day, contemplate the waterfront views at Loch Linnhe, thentake in the architecture and atmosphere at Saint Andrew's Church, thentake in the awesome beauty at Ben Nevis, and finally admire the sheer force of Steall Waterfall.
