Traveling by car from Jeddah to Mecca takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Traveling from Jeddah in June, expect nights in Mecca to be about the same, around 35°C, while days are somewhat warmer, around 52°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 29th (Tue) so you can drive to Taif.

Taif

Unofficially the country's summer capital, the city of Taif lies amid a richly fertile agricultural area and boasts a history reaching back to at least the 6th century CE. At 1,700 m (5,577 mi) above sea level, Taif enjoys a pleasant, dry climate, and its many green spaces ensure a family-friendly atmosphere.
On the 30th (Wed), stroll around Al-Anoud Park, take in the awesome beauty at Shafa Mountains, then stroll around Al Rudaf Park, and finally walk around Al Faisaliah garden. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 1st (Thu): take an in-depth tour of Shubra Palace, meet the residents at Taif Zoo, and then get in on the family fun at Green Mountain Park.
