City of Seven Hills

Built on seven hills, Lisbon has experienced a renaissance in recent years, making it the cultural star of Portugal.
Start off your visit on the 6th (Fri): make a trip to Elevador de Santa Justa. Keep things going the next day: observe the fascinating underwater world at Lisbon Oceanarium, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, then don't miss a visit to Belém Tower, and finally don't miss a visit to Praca do Comercio (Terreiro do Paco).

For where to stay, ratings, maps, and more tourist information, you can read our Lisbon trip planner.

The time zone difference moving from Central European Standard Time (CET) to Western European Standard Time (WET) is minus 1 hour. In March, Lisbon is somewhat warmer than Warsaw - with highs of 20°C and lows of 10°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Sun) to allow time to fly back home.
