At the heart of British Columbia's wine country, Kelowna is at once both urban and rural, featuring a modern downtown encircled by picturesque hills carpeted with vineyards and orchards.
Kick off your visit on the 15th (Fri): get curious at Father Pandosy Mission, then stroll through Glen Canyon Regional Park, then learn about winemaking at Little Straw Vineyards, and finally learn about winemaking at Indigenous World Winery.

Vancouver to Kelowna is an approximately 3-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and taxi; or drive. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 15th (Fri) so you can go by car to Oliver.

In tiny Oliver, practically every attraction appealing to tourists remains within walking distance of town center.
Desert Hills Estate Winery and Kismet Estate Winery are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Step out of the city life by going to Anarchist Mountain Lookout and Desert Centre. When in Oliver, make a side trip to see Moon Curser Vineyards in Osoyoos, approximately 30 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: do a tasting at Rust Wine.

Drive from Kelowna to Oliver in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and taxi. In March in Oliver, expect temperatures between 13°C during the day and 0°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 18th (Mon) so you can travel back home.
