Kuwait City — 7 nights

Kuwait City, the country's capital and largest urban area, combines many of the aspects of a modern, rich city of the Gulf region, with a more rugged and ordinary core.Head to Alhamra tower and mall and Salhiya complexfor plenty of shopping. Step out of the city life by going to Al Shaheed Park and Al Kout Beach. Step out of Kuwait City with an excursion to Kuwait Red Fort in Jahra--about 32 minutes away. There's lots more to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Grand Mosque, buy something for everyone on your list at Marina Mall, pause for some serene contemplation at National Evangelical Church, and shop like a local with Souk Al-Mubarakiya.
For photos, more things to do, where to stay, and more tourist information, refer to the Kuwait City day trip tool.
In June, daytime highs in Kuwait City are 52°C, while nighttime lows are 35°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Mon) to allow time to travel back home.

Kuwait travel guide
Small in terms of land area but hugely rich in oil reserves, Kuwait sits in the middle of a region disputed by many would-be conquerors, each of whom has left an indelible mark over the ages. Expatriates make up nearly two thirds of Kuwait's population, drawn here by the thriving economy based almost entirely on petroleum exports. For casual travelers, a holiday in Kuwait means a chance to explore outstanding museums, sun-kissed beaches, and a lively restaurant scene serving authentic Arab cuisine. Less popular than some of the other oil-rich Gulf countries, Kuwait remains relatively unspoiled by mass tourism, though it boasts more than a fair share of extravagant shopping malls, picturesque marinas, and modern waterfront resorts.
