Cebu City — 6 nights

Queen City of the South

The country's second city, Cebu City boasts a number of interesting colonial buildings, thriving commercial areas, and historic temples.
Change things up with these side-trips from Cebu City: Lapu Lapu (Scuba & Snorkeling, Spas, &more), Cebu Happy World Museum (in Cordova) and Pescador Island (in Moalboal). There's still lots to do: get a taste of the local shopping with Ayala Mall, see the interesting displays at Basilica del Santo Nino, enjoy the sand and surf at Vano Public Beach, and steep yourself in history at Magellan's Cross.

A long, thin island with a mountainous backbone running through its core, Cebu Island offers scenic nature and pristine beaches. Hikes in the hills offer fabulous views of waterfalls and the distant ocean amid lush greenery, while those who prefer urban entertainment can enjoy the bustle of the provincial capital. For more adventurous visitors, things to do in Cebu Island center mainly around water sports, such as kiteboarding, windsurfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, or taking a boat trip to look for whale sharks. History buffs will enjoy visiting a Portuguese-built Catholic church and then a shrine dedicated to the chieftain who killed Magellan.
