Nestled atop a hill, The Acropolis sits as a memorial to ancient civilizations, their wealth, and their cultural advancement. The Greek, Roman, and Turkish left their marks here. Its remains take up 90 hectares (220 acres), where you can explore anything from gymnasiums to lavish temples. Visit the 10,000-seat theater, considered to be the steepest in the ancient world, and view the ruins of once-extravagant royal palaces. You'll also see a legendary library, which contained 200,000 volumes at one time.  Using our international travel planner, Bergama attractions like The Acropolis can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • Amazing view and a must see place. The theater was built at a mind blowing place with amazing view of the city.
  • Not the best ruins in Turkey, especially with all the good bits sitting in a museum in Berlin.
