The over 320 paintings of the Ottoman and Republican era include works by Ottoman and Turkish artists like Ibrahim Calli. Aside from these permanent exhibitions, the museum hosts cultural events and temporary exhibits of foreign artists, such as Pablo Picasso, Rodin, and Miro. The museum is accessible via car or taxi and has limited opening hours when hosting cultural events, so call ahead or check the website to confirm opening hours. • Best museum I went to in Istanbul. Very small but high-quality collection. The cafe is nice as well.
  • Compact museum but always full of very interesting galleries. Thanks to generous donation of Sabanci family, the museum’s location is amazing and has a breathtaking bosphrous view. Finally, the museum is also a home for a modern top-notch restaurant called MSA
