Hercules Gate, Selcuk

If I didn’t have a guide I wouldn’t have microbes this was anything. But it’s a nice gate and the relief sculptures depict Hercules carrying the lion down that he killed with his bare hands.

The Heracles Gate was once the southern entrance to the main city Avenue - the Curetes. However, over the ages only two beautifully carved columns remained. There's no chance to miss it as they stand....  more
