The only Victorian-era prison in Northern Ireland, Crumlin Road Gaol held its last prisoner in 1996. The first 106 inmates were forced to walk to the prison in chains in 1846, but your walk along Crumlin Road will be much more pleasant. The dark gray sandstones give the prison's facade an ominous look. Nowadays, visitors roam the halls of the jail and view the cells where men, women, and even children paid their debts to society. Exhibits throughout the building tell their stories, along with information about the building's state-of-the-art 19th-century design. Put Crumlin Road Gaol and other Belfast attractions into our Belfast trip itinerary website, and watch your holiday take shape.

Very interesting! Takes about 2 hours to get around at a slow pace and would recommend for people who find prisons intriguing! My mum and I loved it

We went to Goal this weekend. Very descriptive and harrowing tour. Full of Northern Irish history. I've given 4 stars because the car park needs to be better sign posted. That's a very traffic heavy area so needs to be really clear where to park. Also, I think the tour could be a little more interactive. Maybe a few live actors/props would bring it to life instead of so many videos.
