  • Proof that big is not always the best. It's enormous. The scale is impressive, but the atmosphereIt's cold, bare and the sandstone transmits an air of sadness.

  • A stunning cathedral with acoustics that make your ears think they've had a spa day.. If you are lucky enough to hear the choir rehearse then you're in for a treat. The tower tour is a must but beware there are a few stairs to climb after you get out of the lift but view is stunning when you get to the top.
  • Open 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM The Cathedral was only completed in 1978. It was designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott when he was only 22 years old. It is The central nave is such a huge space, with a great feeling of peace and serenity. The carving in the choir is reminiscent of much older cathedrals and is beautiful I highly recommend going up the tower! Spectacular views although it can be a bit windy! Car park on site which...bonus is open for use 24 hours.
