Create an itinerary including Speke Hall
Speke Hall stands as one of the finest examples of a wood-framed wattle-and-daub Tudor manor house. Start your visit with a walk around the manor to admire its architecture from various angles. Head inside to view the well-appointed interior, which showcases more Arts and Crafts furnishings than Tudor ones since the home's 19th-century restoration. Back outside, navigate the Victorian hedgerow maze and admire the colorful gardens. If you're more interested in the manor from the outside, you can purchase a ticket for the gardens and grounds only for a reduced price. Speke Hall is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , custom trip planner Edition.

  • Visited on a Thursday in term time. Able to stroll around the grounds and along the coast. Given two helpful maps, one for walks, and map of the site. Joined a very interesting tour of the outside of the house with history explained by a guide in costume. Also gained a lot of information from the friendly guides in the house. Beautiful Tudor building with oak furniture, and tapestries. Lots of interesting things to talk about in the house. Lunch from the cafe was tasty. Parking good.
  • Haven't been here for years and it is our local National Trust property. Busy visiting other NT properties. Time to revisit. Lovely walks around the gardens and woods, picnic lunch and a cup of tea in the impressive cafe. Second hand bookshop too! We didn't visit the house itself as we were looking for walks. Big plus for this plane watcher is the fact that it is right next door to John Lennon Airport and the coastal walk can get you right up close to planes as they land. Hoping to go back soon for the open air theatre during the summer. Great NT property and the staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful.
