Take respite from the bustling city in one of the capital’s eight Royal Parks. William III purchased the area in 1689 to be made into the private gardens of Kensington Palace; the asthmatic King enjoyed its tranquility and salubrious air. Today, Kensington Gardens serve as a peaceful refuge for all people living in, working in, or visiting Central London. Stroll through the avenues of trees and ornamental flower beds, pop into the Serpentine Gallery, and take in some of the Gardens’ most famous landmarks including the Albert Memorial, Peter Pan Statue, and the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Playground. The park is absolutely beautiful to spend some time strolling aimlessly through, even on a more brisk day. The Palace is also lovely to admire, but the pond is not for anyone with a phobia of birds...

Such a wonderful, peaceful area to sit and relax. Grab a cup of coffee from the Italian Gardens Cafe, then sit and unwind listening to the sounds of the water features and passing people's. Beautiful area, wonderful moment to rest.

It's so huge, it feels like it will take 2 days to cover the entire garden, may be I am exaggerating a little bit. It's worth a visit. Recommended to get a cycle or something so that you can quickly check out the entire area.
