National Museum of Flight, North Berwick

The National Museum of Flight is Scotland's national aviation museum, at East Fortune Airfield, just south of the village of East Fortune, in East Lothian. It is one of the museums within National Museums Scotland. The museum is housed in the original wartime buildings of RAF East Fortune which is a well preserved World War II airfield. As a result of this the entire site is a scheduled ancient monument with no permanent structures added by the museum. The hangars, control tower and stores were designated as Category B listed buildings by Historic Scotland, but this designation was removed in 2013 as they were already covered by the stricter scheduling.
The museum received 104,240 visitors in 2006.

  • Former air force base collection of aircraft made in the United Kingdom. At the Concord Museum Press, except for the cockpit. You can enjoy other warplanes and airliners are many, men if not in children.

  • Fun for young and old for hours, very attractive because you can play many of the pieces on display and that makes it more interesting. Areas prepared for kids where they can play and learn. And if you get tired, then sit by the banks that are in all rooms or in a small cafe on a balcony watching the Museum.

  • Amazing place .. loads of learning stuff to know. A must visit place to educate your children about the history and answer to curious minded kids. Concorde experience is worth visiting this place. Please note that you should be ready to stick around at least couple of hours .. video demonstrations of history of aviation is a great feature. All in all it's a place to have fun and lear at the same time. highly recommended place for kids and adults who have some interest in aviation, civil or defense...
  • A great museum, the Concord and display was brilliant. There is a good selection of planes which you can get up close to. The Aviator Cafe is a good well priced and good quality. Overall I highly recommend a visit.
