Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales, with an altitude of 1,085 m (3,560 ft). The microclimate and ecological beauty earned it the designation of the National Nature Reserve. Access the top by train or challenge yourself by going on foot. If you enjoy hiking or mountain climbing, choose from a variety of trail paths rated according to difficulty. Once at the top, enjoy some of the farthest-reaching views of the British Isles, including Ireland, Scotland, and England. For the least-strenuous route to the top, board the round-trip Victorian rack-and-pinion train. Either way, you can stop in for a mountaintop lunch at the summit cafe. Put Snowdon at the forefront of your travel plans using our Nant Peris day trip planner.

What a amazing experience!!! Set out really early and views did not disappoint, especially what we around 40 minutes from the summit and the mountain tops were covered with snow

Absolute fantastic views, Snowdon is a fantastic walk there's many different routes you can go weather it is by the train which you need to book in advance or be disappointed, the route from lanberis or the other more extreme routes, well worth doing make sure you take plenty of snacked and water as you need it. Once you get to the top the views are stunning, We were lucky as the clouds cleared just enough to see a clear view around absolute stunning, highly requemend.

Really enjoyed the route up to the summit of Snowdon. Set off at 8:00am to get a little ahead of the crowds and found that was well worth it. Some challenging parts of the route but perfectly doable for the inexperienced hiker with patience, snacks and layers! Would do it again for sure. The views are fantastic on the way up and, I'm sure, at the summit - it was pure cloud when I got there. It was very windy and very cold at the top - about a 16 degree difference from the temperature at Llanberis so make sure you take suitable clothing accordingly!
