Spanning the scenic Marble Canyon, Navajo Bridge offers splendid views of the Colorado River cutting through the red-rock canyon. When the original structure opened in 1929 as the world's highest steel arch bridge, it eased access to this remote and rugged part of the country. Today, the new bridge, completed in 1995, serves vehicular traffic, while the old bridge remains open for pedestrians and equestrians only. The interpretive center on the west side provides information on the history and construction of the bridges, while on the east side you can buy Native American crafts. Navajo Bridge reviews
Excellent stop on your way to or from the North Rim. The drop off is immense and the canyon breathtaking. Pretty cool to be able to walk along the old bridge. Definitely a great picture spot. Restrooms are clean and convenient. Can’t think of a better place to get out and stretch the limbs on a road trip through here.
Great pit stop. Beautiful views, people from all over, bathrooms... they seemed to be open all night. Was very homey, saw a fox there at night. Didn't go in the visitors center but there appeared to be information. Beautiful area to drive through.
