Commemorating the watershed event of recent American history, 9/11 Memorial marks the spot of the two World Trade Center buildings that were destroyed during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Gain a deeper understanding of the tragic events surrounding those attacks by taking a guided walking tour of Ground Zero. A museum features exhibits ranging from objects found in the rubble to multimedia displays offering the stories and final voicemails of those who died in the buildings. You can stop by the memorial's two reflecting pools, designed to inspire hope and renewal and to pay tribute to victims. One could spend all day here. We took the museum tour which was absolutely excellent - the museum itself recounts that day and its aftermath….a somber and poignant remembrance…definitely a must...

very nice place considering what it's a memorial for and it's in the middle of a Load and Dirty City. Worth spending a moment.

We took the guided tour and it was definitely worth the extra money. Our tour guide was knowledgable and detailed with an appropriate sprinkling of emotion, because how could you be good at this job without having some sort of emotional reaction to what you are speaking about. The tour was the perfect way to be introduced to the museum. The tour itself lasts about an hour with the opportunity to see more on your own if you so choose. They think of everything, including providing tissues throughout the building, which I did need to utilize. If all humans took the time to go through this museum, it may remind us of how to treat others - we seem to have lost the unity and love towards others we all felt the two weeks proceeding 9/11.

This is a MUST SEE. Talk about humbling. They say about an hr and a half to see all of it. We could have easily spent 5-6hrs. If you want to read everything they have in there, you need time. I would recommend not having anything else planned the day you attend. Definitely worth the money.
