Home to several buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, Harry P. Leu Gardens also lays claim to almost 20.3 hectares (50 acres) of warm-weather gardens. You can visit the gardens and wander among the lush greenery, discovering azaleas, citrus trees, hibiscus, vegetables, and more spread out over a multitude of different exhibits and themed areas. Keep an eye out for some of the centuries-old oak trees on the grounds. Stop by the on-site museum in the former house of the garden's founders, the Leus, and join a guided tour. You'll find a showcase of the life and times of the Leus dating from around the turn of the 20th century. Be sure to check the gardens' schedule for information on special events, showings, and activities. Plan to visit Harry P. So beautiful; every path you take is enjoyable. There are shaded areas to explore for hotter days. They have events so check the website to see what’s going on. When the dinosaurs exhibit was there, my daughter loved it. It’s worth the price to get in because they keep the gardens so clean and maintained. We love the spot on the boardwalk and the butterfly garden. It’s usually easy to park earlier in the day; we don’t have issues.

Outstandingly beautiful day at these wonderful inspired gardens. The rose garden was in full bloom while the butterflies were active in most of the areas. Although we couldn't be inside the main house (closed on this Monday), we thoroughly enjoyed the exotic trees, plants that Mr Leu gathered here from parts of the world.
